Our Story

Hutchinson Farm Winery is a dream that Sherry & I have had for years.  Sherry was in the Wine business in the Finger Lakes, New York in the mid 70’s as Winemaker for Chateau Esperanza Winery, Branchport, New York.  After a fulfilling career in Nursing and Massage Therapy she and I met at a Class Reunion in 2004, fell in love and the rest is history.

We have been growing Muscadine Grapes and Hybred Grapes or (Bunch Grapes) here on our small farm in Apopka, Fl.  Our Muscadine grapes are: Nobel, Carlos, Doreen, Dixie, Jumbo and our Hybrids are: Blanc du Bois, Lake Emerald, Stover,  as well as experimental grapes from Florida A & M (FAMU) both white and red bunch grapes.

Look for our Green “Hutchinson Farm Winery” Sign on Clarcona Road pointing to turn on Stone Road.  Working to get the a sign for the other direction. They will have Hutchinson Farm Winery and a Green Grape Cluster with an arrow pointing the way.  Take care and thank all of you for going the extra mile to find us up to now.

Here is a short Video on our Winery and Tasting Room.  It was produced by Alec Birdman who just graduated from F.I.R.S.T. an Audio Visual School here in Orlando.  I hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it. It is on You Tube here is the link:

Our Blueberry wine was made with Locally Grown, “Fresh From Florida” Blueberries from Scott West Farms in Ocoee, Fl. as well as Joe Greenwood here in Apopka.  Scott Picked the Blueberries at the peak of ripeness for us and we appreciate all of his hard work that goes into growing Blueberries.  So remember next year to stop by Scott West “U” Pick on White Road behind Ocoee, Middle School to visit his Farm.

We are Kid and Pet friendly.
